The Administrative Fellowship Program offers the flexibility to accommodate an individual's interests within a framework of continuous learning. Each administrative fellow is exposed to a broad range of learning opportunities in the administrative disciplines.
Typically, the program begins in July each year. The program consists of six to eight rotations in areas such as finance, human resources, systems and procedures, research, education, hospital operations, clinical operations and general administration.
The rotations are jointly developed by administrative preceptors and the administrative fellows. The responsibilities and assignments are primarily project-oriented. The mentoring relationship with administrative staff members will include performance assessments that focus on characteristics of a successful administrator, such as managerial skills, judgment, initiative, credibility, creativity and leadership.
