AFP Preview Days

Learn about a career in healthcare administration at Mayo Clinic

The Mayo Clinic Administrative Fellowship Program (AFP) extends an invitation to visit the Mayo Clinic sites this September during our 2008 Administrative Fellowship Program Preview Days. The AFP Preview Days - designed for graduate-level healthcare administration students from the nation's top programs - will provide direct exposure to Mayo Clinic leaders, current Administrative Fellows, administrative issues the Clinic faces and Mayo facilities. At the presentations, first- and second-year graduate students will learn about what the AFP has to offer, including how students can apply for this post-graduate fellowship.

Please save the date on calendars now as we finalize the plans for these events. A full listing of times and schedules of events will be distributed later this summer and made available on this site.

9:00 a.m. — Living the Mayo Mission: Welcome from Clinic Site Administrator

9:15 a.m. — Mayo History Overview & Model of Care: Joint presentation by a senior administrator & physician leader

9:45 a.m. — Mayo Leadership Model: Member of Administrative Leadership Development Committee

10:00 a.m. — AFP Program Overview: Presentation by Program Principals

10:25 a.m. — Break (with refreshments; invitations extended to administrators and former Trainees to attend and meet participants)

10:55 a.m. — Presentation by former AFP Fellow

11:20 a.m. — Case Study (Conducted by a site-specific administrator)

12:00 p.m. — Lunch

1:00 - 3:00 p.m. — Optional Tour
